We want you to feel comfortable with the decision of chiropractic care at our practice. Please read the information below and if you have any questions call our office more information.
1- Patient Forms
Upon entering, we welcome you to our Nevada Spine & Disc office. At this time, we request you complete our new patient forms. You may complete these forms in the comfort of your home to save some time during your initial appointment (click here for online forms). This paperwork provides us with your health history and information pertinent to your condition.
2- Consultation
Next you begin your consultation with a doctor. The doctor will discuss any health related issues, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed to help us learn more about you, your condition, any expectations you may have, and how chiropractic care can meet your health care goals.
Examination-
After your consultation, a complete chiropractic examination by the doctor will follow. The doctor will test your reflexes and flexibility. Additional standard neurological, orthopedic, postural and physical test may be performed at this time.
X-Ray Studies-
Depending on your specific condition, we may need to take chiropractic x-rays. These help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you and alert us to any serious spinal conditions.
Report of Findings-
Once the information is collected and all necessary examinations are performed, your doctor will provide you with a detailed report of all findings. They will discuss treatment recommendations and answer any questions you may have.
Together we will provide you the best treatment and wellness program for your needs.
3- Treatment
After your evaluation, you may choose to experience your first treatment. This may include spinal adjustments, massage, electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), cold laser therapy, and/or therapeutic ultrasound.
4- Wellness Care Program
At the end of your visit, your doctor will suggest a wellness care program you can incorporate outside your treatment at Nevada Spine & Disc. If you were in pain when you first came into our office, this may include; ice or heat application instructions, certain activities or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches to perform.
At Nevada Spine & Disc we appreciate that every person is unique and requires a custom individualized wellness plan, the purpose of which is to maintain good spinal alignment, a healthy diet, regular exercise, and a positive mental state.
